2002 Top Ten: Photos

Unpublished Photos: Oooh! Lucky you. We have two more photos that would have made the countdown, except they were never actually published. Still, they're worth sharing and since we're not going to win a Pulitzer anyway, we thought we'd share some bad fruit and undies.

This is a picture of the contents of an actual fruit basket sent by a vendor to Light Reading's CEO, Steve Saunders, in the actual condition in which it arrived. The company thought they had scored some PR points with what would have been a nice gesture, had the delivery company not delayed the order (or whatever happened).

Of course, being the budget-conscious leader that he is, Steve sent a thank you email for the fruit ("Email saves paper!") and cut up the fruit and served it at Light Reading's holiday party ("Let's make people use their sick days, rather than just get paid for them.")

Take life's lemons (or severely discolored avocados) and make lemonade: That is why Light Reading is such a smashing success. Oh, and, of course, there's this:

This photo was supposed to be used for some sort of promotional material. In reality, it's just a picture of what remote correspondent/senior editor Phil Harvey wears to work every day. It goes without saying that he values comfort over appearance.

re: 2002 Top Ten: Photos I could undertand that he wears a Light Reading T to work, but I was confused seeing some women undergarments hanging next to it.

Please CLARIFY!!!

re: 2002 Top Ten: Photos It's admirable that someone is comfortable enough with his own masculinity to let the world know that he wears a bra and panties to work.

re: 2002 Top Ten: Photos WoW! Is Robert Hall single?

BTW ~ we're all still curious about the laundry hanging on the line...is that really Phil's shirt and underwear?

re: 2002 Top Ten: Photos Listen, we all know that Bobby Max really works for Light Reading. How about a photo of him?

Fess up, Bobby Max is the nom de plume for Phil Harvey...

Happy New Year!
