Zenverge Preps New Gateway Solutions

June 05, 2013 |
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Zenverge, a leading developer of advanced content networking ICs, announced today it will unveil its industry-first, multi-screen hybrid gateway solutions and innovative, real-time HD HEVC content networking technology at The Cable Show in Washington, D.C., June 10-11, 2013.

Zenverge will showcase its superior content processing technology on revolutionary operator gateway solutions and IP streamer products, allowing up to four devices to access content simultaneously. Using Zenverge's family of ZN200 ICs, operators can deliver the highest-quality video content to a wide range of IP-connected devices at dramatically reduced operating and capital expenditures while substantially enhancing the end-user experience. Users will be able to view live or recorded content on any IP device or take their content-to-go with the fastest HD content processing in the industry, at four times real-time of one stream.

"Our customers are tier-one operators and set-top box manufacturers who are aggressively moving to a much more cost-effective and feature rich gateway model," said Amir Mobini, president and CEO at Zenverge. "We have been selected by some of the largest suppliers to North American cable operators because of the quality, performance, maturity and system cost savings of our content networking ICs."

Zenverge produced the world's first Quad stream HD content networking ICs with the smallest memory footprint of any competitive solution, enabling content to stream to mobile and gaming devices, as well as legacy MPEG 2 devices, quickly and efficiently. Zenverge's networking ICs provide additional advantages such as full HD to HD transcoding, a capability many SOCs are unable to provide due to memory bandwidth constraints. This feature is becoming increasingly more important when streaming to wireless set-top boxes and smart TVs that require the full HD experience on large displays. Storage efficiency is also an important differentiator of Zenverge's content networking ICs, providing the ability to store 5-15 times more content on a traditional hard disk drive.
