SAN FRANCISCO -- Yipes Communications, Inc., the defining provider of optical IP networks, today announced that it is providing light-speed Internet access for Fuzion Technologies Inc., a broadband solutions provider based in Boca Raton, Fla. Yipes has connected Fuzion's hubs in Norcross, Georgia and Miami, Florida to the Internet with service connections of 50 Megabits per second and 10 Mbps, respectively. Fuzion offers Internet and Intranet data connection services to business customers at speeds from 500 Kbps to 155 Mbps. The Fuzion Wireless Broadband Network uses digital microwaves to send data signals from rooftop transmitters to Fuzion's base hubs. Fuzion recently introduced a new suite of wireline services to complement its existing wireless offerings.

"We chose Yipes as our carrier in Norcross and Miami for several outstanding reasons," said Matthew Haynes, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Fuzion. "Yipes was highly cost competitive, it offered us reliable access to the Internet through multiple Tier 1 backbones and it could provide service faster than traditional carriers. In addition, Yipes' scalable optical network is a good match for the scalable broadband services we provide customers via our wireless platform. We hope to use Yipes in other markets as we expand our footprint."
