Yahoo announced its acquisition of Maktoob.com, which will enable it to make its products, including Messenger and Mail, more accessible to the Arabic-speaking world. The cost of the acquisition, which is reportedly around $75 million, could be a small price to pay for increased presence in the booming Middle Eastern market, Contentinople editor Ryan Lawler reports.
Local broadcasting company Raycom is expanding its relationship with VMIX, increasing the number of member stations that use VMIX's platform to 19.
