MERRIMACK, N.H. -- US Conec, a producer of fiber optic connector products and Xanoptix, Inc. a manufacturer of high-speed optical transceivers for next generation data links, have partnered to provide data users with the ability to implement high-speed optical networks using significantly less space and cost than traditional networking equipment. Together with US Conec, Xanoptix has designed an innovative connector adapter for its XTM-1TM transceiver. XTM-1 operates over more than 1km at speeds starting at 200 Gb/s and simultaneously connects 36 transmitting and 36 receiving fibers point-to-point at speeds of 3.125 Gb/s per channel. Using the technology co-developed by US Conec, Xanoptix with demonstrate XTM-1’s next generation optical connections at Networld+Interop in Las Vegas May 8-10.

“The demand for high data rates continues to drive our industry into new and innovative engineering solutions for the future.” Said Russ Granger, OEM Product Manager of USConec. “ The energetic combination of high precision molding at USConec and innovative transceiver design at Xanoptix has created an exciting new module solution for the future.”
