Communication service providers know that evaluating, purchasing, developing and deploying an NFV solution can turn into more than just a lengthy process; it may also prove to be a very costly endeavor. All the more so if a solution which runs perfectly on data center servers now needs to be spun up and executed on x86-based equipment in a remote location at the network edge. At the same time, VNF developers must find ways to enable rapid prototyping across a broad range of NFV infrastructure (NFVI).

  • How can you get your solutions validated on the edge computing device or NFVI which provides the right mix of compute, I/O, storage and remote management for your workloads?
  • How can you deploy on that NFVI faster and with less risk, knowing that it will meet the service levels your customers expect?

Join Simon Stanley, Heavy Reading Analyst at Large, and Advantech Networks & Communications Group on this Light Reading webinar. We will discuss these challenges and explain how you can tap into a remote evaluation service that helps you meet both your development and deployment needs. Discover an NFVI community where people with similar philosophies about telecom cloud architecture recognize a need for greater NFV elasticity and openly collaborate together. Get on the fast track to NFV and learn how you can start to test different NFV infrastructures on platforms destined for deployment closer to the subscriber; in the access network, at the mobile edge and inside customer premises as well as in the network core or telecom data center.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
