Overview:
According to 3G Americas, 68 network operators will be in the process of implementing or migrating to 4G technology by 2012, with another 40 in 2014. Long Term Evolution (LTE) and the accompanying Evolved Packet Core (EPC) will ultimately result in network simplification and corresponding lower operational costs. To get there, service providers will have to go through a transitory period of managing all of the new elements brought by LTE+EPC, in addition to all of the existing elements, in order to provide continued support for legacy voice and data access.

In this session, an expert from IDC will discuss the 4G landscape and trends as well as the significance of incorporating Subscriber Data Management with this transition. HP will discuss strategies and approaches on how to manage new subscriber data information that the LTE elements bring into the network. Through efficient data coordination across 2G, 3G, and 4G, service providers can enrich their services to the end users and capitalize on the LTE investment by building new revenue streams.
