Overview:
Ethernet services delivered by Carriers, PTTs or other service providers are a fast emerging new product offering. This is part of the global move to a packet-oriented infrastructure by network operators. Enterprise clients have high expectations of these new services, which will provide a challenge for the service providers.

A key part of the successful introduction of new Carrier services is the ability to manage them. This is the OPEX saving part of the promise of Ethernet services. However will the larger network operators be able to realize this and incorporate control of Ethernet services into their existing well-established management systems?
