Join us as Joe English, Director of Marketing for Intel, and Carlton O’Neal, Vice President of Marketing for Alvarion, lead a discussion on WiMax technology and how it can be implemented to enable the delivery of high-end multimedia content, such as digital movie screenings, in a variety of locations from cinemas to home theaters. We will discuss a unique technology demonstration conducted at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, examing how a motion picture was streamed over the Internet and then sent over a high-throughput WiMax broadband wireless network to a theater in a remote ski lodge on top of a mountain outside of Park City. The discussion will look at how digital technologies are changing the way premium content is distributed and what impact this may have on the film and premium content distribution industries.
