This Olde Website: 2012

December 28, 2012 | Jeff Baumgartner |

It's time for Light Reading's annual cruise down memory lane to visit of the World Wide Web of yore. You know, when a dial-up modem and an introductory CD packed with the promise of 100 hours of free Internet access served as our window to digital delights. Or perhaps you went with another ISP of the day, and had the easy-to-remember email address of XUNJ9LWS@prodigy.net.

No matter from whence you came, delightful historic artifacts await you, as we have once again tapped the Internet Archive WayBackMachine to help take us on this year's nostalgic trip, which includes some Web shots of years gone by from Comcast Corp., Sprint Nextel Corp., Verizon Communications Inc., Dish Network Corp., Boxee and a few others.
