HERNDON, Va. -- XO Communications today announced that it has been honored with the "Best New Service" award in the Telecom category by Light Reading's Leading Lights award program for the company's launch of nationwide 100 Gbps network services. Light Reading's reputation for independent analysis makes the awards the most credible and authoritative awards program in the communications industry. The award was presented on November 7 at an awards dinner in New York City following the first day of Ethernet Expo Americas 2012.

"We are honored to receive this award for our 100 Gbps network services as it is a testament to our industry-leading network and commitment to innovative solutions for our customers," said Don MacNeil, chief marketing officer at XO Communications.
