Vodafone India Selects Mycom's OSS

BARCELONA -- MYCOM, the leading independent provider of carrier-grade Service and Network Performance solutions, today announced that its NIMS-PrOptima™ performance management solution has been selected by Vodafone India for managing the 2G and 3G Mobile RAN, Mobile Circuit, Packet Core and Value Added Service domains of its national network of over 150 million subscribers.

The multi-million dollar contract covers Vodafone India’s Mobile and Fixed networks with MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima solution being implemented in its Super NOC (Network Operations Centre) for the primary purposes of providing performance reports, analysis, end-to-end optimization, capacity management, automatic performance alarming and automation across all network domains and technologies.

Vodafone India selected MYCOM after successful completion of a comprehensive tender process and live evaluation. “Vodafone’s commitment to delivering the best network quality and customer experience is second to none. Having a single performance management solution that spans across the entire network infrastructure supporting our 150 million subscribers is a critical requirement for us,” commented Vishant Vora, Director Technology , Vodafone India, “MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima will give us the ability to efficiently manage our entire network end-to-end, speed up the integration of new equipment and technologies, and also give us great flexibility in our use of network information to the benefit of our subscribers.”
