August 03, 2011 |

PARIS and HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) today announces it will deliver a custom-developed telepresence adapter to Comcast designed to deliver high-definition video conferencing (calling) through TV sets.

Technicolor’s telepresence solution is designed to enable Comcast to deliver an interactive video calling experience to their subscribers using existing set top boxes and TV sets as well as wireless LAN networks.

“As we were planning to create an HD video conferencing service offering for our subscribers, we engaged Technicolor to design and develop the adapter based on their successful track record delivering custom-built solutions, and their ability to develop innovative products in a cost-effective, timely and seamless manner,” said Steve Reynolds, senior vice president of home networking for Comcast.”
