FOSTER CITY, Calif. -- Conviva, the leader in OTT experience management for the world's top media companies, today announced Verizon Digital Media Services as a launch partner for Conviva's Quality of Experience (QoE) Ecosystem initiative. This gives Verizon Digital Media Services the ability to bring all QoE metrics into its market-leading end-to-end platform, further increasing visibility and understanding of the online viewer experience for Verizon customers. By sharing video experience service statistics provisioned specifically for Verizon Digital Media Services, a Publisher now ensures that Verizon is able to act and respond in the shortest period of time to any issues that might arise in the video viewing experience.

"Verizon Digital Media Services has been an early innovator in bringing a complete end-to-end platform of video services to the market," says Dr. Hui Zhang, Co-Founder and CEO of Conviva. "Our partnership demonstrates their commitment to customer success by leveraging Conviva's platform to provide real time visibility and control of a consumer's video experience across all elements of delivery."

With Conviva, Verizon Digital Media Services has a unified, third-party view of video QoE for support, diagnostics and health reporting. Verizon will be alerted if any quality issues occur and will be able to troubleshoot errors in real time to reduce mean time to repair. Currently, Verizon already monitors encoder-level performance and has a dedicated 24 x 7 Network Operations Center. By being able to monitor the complete customer video experience, including content and ads, Verizon now has further visibility into the entire video experience which will help their customers maximize both consumer engagement and revenue. The unified console and shared customer visibility will allow Verizon to avoid and even predict some problems before they have a chance to impact experience.
