A recently signed agreement between AT&T1 and HealthTrust makes subscriptions to DIRECTV service available at a promotional rate to more than 24,000 healthcare facilities. These include continuing care retirement facilities, which are exclusive members of HealthTrust.

While some HealthTrust facilities already subscribe to DIRECTV service, we anticipate the new agreement will nearly double that level of business among HealthTrust members.

“This is about more than just expanding access to our TV service,” said Doug Eichler, vice president of commercial DIRECTV sales for AT&T. “It’s about helping the patients and residents of HealthTrust member facilities stay connected to the latest news and entertainment. DIRECTV aligns with HealthTrust’s national presence and commitment to an exceptional customer experience.”

DIRECTV’s services are available in common areas as well as individual rooms to accommodate facility guests and visitors. HealthTrust members can opt for AT&T in-room DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE), which includes nearly 100 HD channels and exclusive sports programing. DRE includes a user-friendly interactive program guide and select DVR capabilities.

Properties that subscribe to DIRECTV are receiving the leading TV service for businesses across the country and can serve selected games from the major sports leagues. They’ll have access to the exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKET and other sports packages.

DIRECTV is available in businesses across the U.S., including hotels, restaurants, retail and more. With DIRECTV you can also keep in touch with the community. DIRECTV local channels, available in 99% of the U.S., keep customers updated on the latest local programming.
