9:25 AM -- Ericsson AB could soon be facing a barrage of criticism following the publication of a Reuters report that details the Swedish vendor's ongoing business in Iran.

The article cites an Ericsson spokesman saying the vendor has not struck any new business in Iran -- which is currently subject to various sanctions -- in recent times and is only honoring long-standing agreements.

But as Ericsson will know from the experience of rivals such as Nokia Siemens Networks, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and ZTE Corp., such comments cut little ice with the critics.
