5:15 AM -- Thursday is the last day of the annual supercomputing conference, this year named SC11. I think the exhibit hall is open, too, and that should give you a few hours to play with the remote-controlled camera that Ciena Corp. has set up.
The webcam is a demonstration of ... actually, who cares? What matters is that it's user-controlled, and the user is you -- and anybody else who's accessing it at the time. It's hours of fun as you all virtually fight over the controls.
The camera URL is here, or you can get to it via the Ciena corporate blog. The exhibit floor opens at 10:00 a.m. Pacific (the show's in Seattle), but you can probably start snooping earlier, since they left the camera on after-hours.
The fun ends at 3:00 p.m. Pacific. And by the way, if you're thinking of using the camera to gawk at booth babes -- well, just keep in mind it's a supercomputer conference.
