6:45 AM -- Huawei, which is aiming to more than treble its sales within the coming decade, is looking for potential acquisitions and partners in the cloud software sector, reports Reuters.

The news comes as Huawei opened its four-day Cloud Computing Conference in Shenzhen, China, which will be attended by more than 1,000 of the vendor's partners and customers.

The cloud services sector is a major focus for Huawei's newly formed Enterprise division and one of the growth markets that the vendor believes can help it increase its annual revenues to US$100 billion within 10 years. I'm sure, though, that any acquisitions will involve purchases outside the U.S., where Huawei is still treated with great suspicion. (See US Blocks Huawei LTE Bid and US Gets Worried About Huawei .)
