1:25 PM -- Well, it's about time: Alcatel-Lucent has put out a press release about wiring up Greenland.
The project should be completed before the winter season of 2008.
Winter? Greenland has other seasons?
Now we just need someone to put broadband access on Kerguelen:
Kerguelen's weather is harsh, with rain and snow most days of the year. Winds blow continuously from the west, as the islands lie in the path of the "Furious Fifties". Winds of 150 kph are common, and gusting up to 200 kph has been known.
Any takers? Hey, it's probably better than Inaccessible Island.
