The construction of advanced information networks is continuing as we enter the era of the ubiquitous network that enables access anytime, anywhere, for anyone. The shift to broadband in the communications system and the convergence of wireless and wired networks mean that needs are expanding for greater sophistication and integration in technologies, services, and mobile phone functions.
While most of the current focus is on what new services will be delivered over these networks – and indeed, how – just as important is the means by which service providers can ensure that their networks are implemented and managed efficiently, delivering the quality of service demanded by their customers.
Advances in test and measurement solutions mean that service providers can not only ensure this QOS to their end-users but also realize true network efficiencies.
