At Ethernet Europe in Munich, Colt's head of Ethernet & IP Services, Henry Bohannon, talks about the 'new battleground' in Ethernet services and explains his company's 'Service Wrap' philosophy
There's no doubt that the big play for the Ethernet service providers now is in meeting the specific needs of customers and providing a better experience using back office tools and customer-facing portals. Colt's 'Service Wrap' is one approach but other operators, such as Deutsche Telekom, have also noted that the network technology is not a challenge -- providing and billing for a service that customers want is still the headache.
