Comcast and Shaw are already running a very small number of movies and specials (via VoD) in 3D but they are using the old-school anaglyphic process (red/green), so it's really just an easy-to-implement placeholder until the SCTE and other cable engineering brass go for a standard way of doing much cooler, more advanced 3D-TV implementations. OK, so here's my guess.

For 3D TV to be as widely available, deployable, and affordable as HD TVs are today, it's going to be 2015. Unless, it seems, you live in UAE and have Etisalat as your service provider - then, maybe, next Tuesday at 4.37 in the afternoon.... 

Any other guesses?
