MicroTCA is a versatile COTS platform on which companies can develop products for a range of applications across multiple markets. Early system developments using MicroTCA have focused on wireless communications for telecom and military networks. Prototype systems, based on MicroTCA, are already being tested in a number of telecom and military applications. LRTV looks at the benefits of using MicroTCA across vertical markets, the leading applications, and the common requirements driving the development of MicroTCA and AMC modules.
