Comcast Taps Regional VP

November 12, 2012 |

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Comcast, one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communications services, has named Rodrigo Lopez as Regional Vice President for Oregon and SW Washington. Lopez will report to Steve White, President of Comcast's West Division, and will oversee Comcast's video, high-speed Internet and telephone operations throughout Oregon and SW Washington, serving more than 600,000 customers and managing more than 2,000 employees.

Based in the company's Beaverton office, Lopez replaces Hank Fore who accepted a new position running Comcast's California operations. Lopez most recently served as Regional Vice President of Comcast's Mountain (Salt Lake City) Region, where he held management responsibilities for 300,000 customers and 1,500 employees. Under Lopez's leadership, the region has topped the company's overall rankings for customer care and financial metrics.

"I am so excited to come to Oregon and SW Washington to lead our employees here and help them continue to provide great service to our customers," Lopez said. "I'm looking forward to connecting with the local community and becoming an integral part of the region."
