March 14, 2013 |
The Viacloud UK Group has announced a new leadership team to drive the growth of its UK business, which includes the Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator (MVNA) "Atmovia" launched last summer on the EE network.

The newly appointed CEO, Mr. Emanuele Angelidis, is a career start-up CEO with a history of building substantial telecoms businesses across Europe. He is the Former CEO of Fastweb (Italy), On Telecoms (Greece), and Bulldog Communications (UK), as well as a director and angel investor in several venture-funded businesses.

Tim Stone is the former Director of Business Development & Wholesale at Vodafone UK and joins as Chief Commercial Officer. He has been highly successful in the UK MVNO market, having orchestrated a wholesale strategy that focused on successful partnerships. Mr. Stone commented, "mobile brands are proliferating and mobile use continues to evolve with new devices, 4G, and M2M. I am excited about capitalizing on these trends and helping the right partners to be successful using Viacloud's unparalleled capabilities."

Newly appointed CFO, Richard Schafer has held various senior Finance executive roles at Vodafone UK and 3UK. Mr. Schafer, whose most recent role was as Vodafone UK's Enterprise Finance Executive, commented "the financial proposition to MVNOs cannot just be based on wholesale costs, but needs to also account for the hidden costs of launching, operating and growing a mobile business in a competitive marketplace."
