OE Solutions Targets Brazil

RIO DE JANERO and GWANGJU, Korea -- OE Solutions, the global leader in optical transceiver solutions, announced today the opening of its Brazilian operation, based in Sao Caetano do Sul, Greater Sao Paulo city area. To actively support customers in Brazil, OE Solutions has partnered with Unipneus Import & Export and will establish OE Solutions Brazil. At Futurecom 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, OE Solutions will introduce Smart SFPâ„¢ and its other transceiver solutions to the Brazilian market.

Smart SFPâ„¢ is a trademark of OE Solutions for transceivers with integrated system functions. In December 2011, OE Solutions teamed up with AimValley to develop this Innovative technology. Since then OE Solutions has unveiled two different versions of Smart SFPâ„¢ that supports 1) Operation, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) for Carrier Ethernet networks and 2) Transparent SONET/SDH over Packet (TSoP). The OAM Smart SFPâ„¢ provides instant support for Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) Link OAM IEEE 802.3ah or Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) of end-to-end Service OAM IEEE 802.1ag and Y.1731 Performance Management. The TSoP Smart SFPâ„¢ enables a smooth network migration with the OC-3/STM-1 and OC-12/STM-4 over Packet. The TSoP protocol converts SONET/SDH traffic across packet networks by simply adding a TSoP Smart SFPâ„¢ to any router or packet switch.

OE Solutions is well known in the fiber optic industry as an expert in single-fiber Bidirectional transceiver technology. Single-fiber transceivers enable a simple upgrade for fiber exhaust, offering attractive cost savings and fast ease of fiber management compared to installing more fiber. OE Solutions supplies single-fiber transceivers with optical reaches up to 80 km, Industrial Temperature range, i.e. -40 to +85°C, and data rates ranging up to 10Gbps.
