TI Intros Small Cell Chip for Indoors and Outside

LONDON -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) today is unveiling the industry’s most power and BOM optimized small cell solution for developers of indoor enterprise PoE+ and outdoor pico base stations. Combining performance levels and features that enable macro service parity, TI’s new KeyStone-based TCI6630K2L System-on-Chip (SoC) offers small cell developers a single hardware and software platform to address multiple indoor and outdoor use cases, as well as headroom to offer differentiated features and enhance their platforms as operator requirements continue to evolve. Combined with TI’s Base Station SoftwarePac and new analog front end transceiver, the AFE7500, the TCI6630K2L takes a quantum leap into solving the ever pervasive challenges impeding on the small cell market by meeting the most stringent power, and cost requirements of base stations, without compromising performance and features.
