The Yankees are set to announce Wednesday they will sponsor a postseason college bowl to be played at the new Yankee Stadium with a seating capacity of 47,000 beginning in the 2010 season, the Daily News has learned.
The game, which will be tentatively known as "The Yankee Bowl," will feature a representative of the Big East Conference (most likely the fourth slotted team) against the seventh-slotted team from the Big 12. The game has yet to be approved by the NCAA...
...or by common decency. Rutgers vs. Baylor, anyone?
