6:00 PM -- You can bet Verizon Wireless is watching the DTV votes with interest as it plots Long-Term Evolution (LTE) deployments for later on this year.

The House today reversed a Senate decision to delay the DTV transition until June and put it back on track for February 17.

The analog TV spectrum that the broadcasters have to move off of in February is the same 700 MHz spectrum that AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) and Verizon plan to use for so-called 4G services. Verizon is the more aggressive of the pair in its rollout plans, promising early market trials late in 2009 with some commercial service 2010. (See Verizon's FiOS Grows, Wireless Slows in Q4.)

The operator could potentially use existing spectrum for market trials but needs 700 MHz for commercial deployments sooner or later.
