ACTON, Mass. -- Tenor Networks(tm), a leading provider of communications equipment that offers Service Intelligence for Optical Networks(tm), today announced the opening of its new European Development Center in Edinburgh, Scotland. Tenor's European team complements the world-class research and development organization located at the company's headquarters in Acton, Mass. This investment in Europe will enable Tenor to leverage the highly skilled technical resources located throughout the region and will expand its Service Migration Center capabilities to support sales and marketing activities. With more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications, Ritchie McBride, together with Senior Architect Robin Iddon, is spearheading Tenor's European technical development effort.

"With business networks forecasted to deliver in excess of $100 Billion of differentiated service level revenue worldwide in 2002, the timing is just right for this expansion," said David Tolwinski, president and chief executive officer at Tenor Networks. "The center will serve as the nucleus of our technical operation in Europe and Richie is the ideal person to lead this effort."
