STOCKHOLM -- Computaris, an R Systems business and leading provider of specialist BSS technical consultancy, software development and systems integration services for the telecommunications industry and DigitalRoute, the leading provider of mediation solutions globally, have jointly announced an enhanced partnership between the two companies.

Following a successful long-term collaboration between the two companies in the mediation domain, the alliance has naturally evolved, a recent significant outcome being the deployment of DigitalRoute's PCRF solution, Policy Control, by Computaris for an Eastern European Tier 1 telecoms operator. The implementation is expected to go live in the first quarter, 2014.

Policy Control is part of DigitalRoute's Online Control solution set, and is a flexible and adaptable product that promotes rather than inhibits changing service offerings and is critical to success for Communications Service Providers who in particular wish to offer innovative services to their customers.

It is built on DigitalRoute's flexible, scalable, efficient, smart and open MediationZone platform. Other applications in the Online Control solution area include Service Control, which enables telcos to quickly bring new services to market, and Routing Control, which allow them to manage signaling infrastructure in one strategic place, to secure the delivery of services across all your network technologies.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
