NANJING, China -- ZTEsoft, the subsidiary of ZTE Corporation that specialises in providing industry-leading telecommunications software, solutions and services to operators globally, has released the ZSmart 8.0 solution to enable CSPs (communications service providers) around the world to build flexible and stable BSS/OSS systems and to help them cope with the challenges of the data era.

ZSmart 8.0 delivers powerful solutions covering the three major focus areas for CSPs – operations and maintenance (O&M), operation strategy and market-related operations. The system was designed to deliver significant improvements in three key areas – customer innovation and profitability, user experience, and O&M efficiency.

ZSmart 8.0 integrates leading technologies in the industry and is designed around a more open platform, with improved system integration, maintenance and customisation capabilities.

ZSmart 8.0’s business model enables support for traditional B2C, B2B and emerging B2B2B and B2B2C. Its physical model means ZSmart 8.0 can be deployed in a cloud computing environment with a demand-based distributed computing capability able to manage large-scale and multi-national data platforms. ZSmart 8.0’s logical structure adopts a modular management approach, so that different modules can be used together to form different solutions to save on CAPEX and to shorten service deployment time for CSPs.

Supporting CSP innovation and profit improvement, ZSmart 8.0 is a true service enabler platform. It opens up a vast range of capabilities for CSPs to form solutions for OTT, MVNO, M2M and enterprise customers.

To improve the end-user experience and customer engagement, ZSmart 8.0 fully enables highly-targeted marketing, multi-channel coordination, a unified contact centre, social media, Internet self-service and network deployment in order to provide a closed-loop system delivering the highest user satisfaction.

To deliver the best possible O&M efficiency and quality, ZSmart 8.0 is based on the Best of Suite concept, aiming at OSS transformation, eliminating the gap between each sub-system and unifying supporting systems to realise a flat network structure and to open up network capabilities. In addition, in response to the demands of the era of ‘big data’, ZSmart 8.0 provides a big data platform to give CSPs access to centralized data and deep data analysis.

"ZTEsoft is strongly focused on industry standards, and we have had excellent cooperation with the TMF organization throughout the development of ZSmart 8.0,” said Mr. Zhou Yong, vice president of ZTEsoft. “We have taken TMF industry standards and specifications into full consideration for ZSmart 8.0 design, and ZSmart 8.0 has passed TMF Frameworx 12.0 certification.

“ZSmart 8.0 is built on an open platform with cloud computing architecture, enabling the easy development of third party software to build a harmonious industry ecosystem. Based on big data technology and a cloud computing platform, ZSmart 8.0 can help CSPs enhance their marketing and service innovation capabilities,” Mr Zhou concluded.
