CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Solid Information Technology, a provider of fast, always-on database management solutions, today broadened its commitment to the communications industry by announcing a new version of its fast, affordable and compact database, solidDBT for the Sun NetraTM High Availability (HA) Suite. This new product can be managed by Sun's Netra HA Suite out of the box. With these combined capabilities, customers can address their applications' data management challenges faster and in compliance with standards established by the Service Availability Forum (SA Forum).

Sun's Netra HA Suite provides a reliable and scalable management platform for Sun's Solaris and Linux based Netra Systems. solidDB for Sun Netra HA is the first database specifically designed to be managed effectively and efficiently by Sun's Netra HA Suite out of the box, and offers an in-memory and a disk-based database with sub-second failover capabilities.

The combination of Sun's Netra HA Suite with Solid's solidDB for Netra HA provides a standards based, out of the box, carrier-grade environment on which developers and system integrators can rapidly develop and deploy highly available applications, based on proven, fast, and affordable products.
