BETHPAGE, N.Y. -- Cablevision Systems Corp. today announced that Optimum Voice® SIP Trunking is now certified with the Cisco® Unified Communications 300 Series for small businesses. The pre-certified solution delivers high-quality, reliable voice service for small businesses that want to take advantage of an Internet Protocol (IP) Private Branch Exchange (PBX) system while avoiding the costs of an analog gateway or traditional T-1 solution. Cisco equipment that has received interoperability certification for Optimum Voice SIP Trunking now includes Cisco UC320 as well as the Cisco UC500 series PBXs.
Optimum Voice SIP Trunking supplies VoIP access and key network-based telephony features to pre-certified IP-PBXs, simplifying configuration, reducing equipment costs for businesses, and improving the quality of voice service by providing an IP interface directly to the customer’s LAN. It is delivered through a converged voice and data network with 24/7 dedicated customer support and field service professionals.
“Optimum Voice SIP Trunking provides an affordable, easy-to-manage communications system for small businesses,” said Joseph DeLotto, vice president of business product management for Cablevision. “With the certification of the Cisco UC320, we are extending availability of our next generation service to even our smallest customers that may require 10 to 20 telephone numbers but only need as little as four concurrent calling sessions.”
