FRISCO, Texas -- GENBAND, a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, today announced that iHub, one of Britain’s leading business hosted communications suppliers, has selected its NUViA™ cloud service for feature-rich Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) coverage capabilities across its current and future service footprint. NUViA is a comprehensive, Unified Communications (UC) offering that allows iHub to ubiquitously deliver the latest in enterprise communications features including video conferencing and collaboration, WebRTC, mobility and high definition voice over IP, to its base of enterprise and small to medium sized business customers.

“GENBAND’s comprehensive platform provides us with a best-in-class cloud-hosted, geo-resilient solution that offers our business customers a superior communications experience throughout Europe and the rest of the world,” said Mike Webb, CEO of iHub. “GENBAND provides a local presence with global capabilities, which allows us to achieve our vision of entering new verticals and offering our growing enterprise customer base carrier-grade, reliable Unified Communications technology that can be seamlessly delivered across multiple countries.”

This strategic deployment follows iHub’s selection of GENBAND in 2013 to enhance the organization’s SIP Trunking and UC offerings.

“Over the years, we have built a strong partnership with iHub and we are delighted to launch our NUViA cloud service in the European market with such a trusted partner,” said Ramnik Kamo, Senior Vice President and General Manager of NUViA Cloud Services for GENBAND. “Offering our customers a consistent, highly available UCaaS experience across the globe is one of the distinct advantages of our cloud service. With NUViA, we manage the cloud service and allow our customers to focus on providing their subscribers with unparalleled solutions and service.”

GENBAND’s cloud service is powered by its EXPERiUS™, QUANTiX™ and Converged Intelligent Messaging (CIM) portfolio. It enables real time flexibility to create differentiated service offerings for the enterprise, small and medium business market segments. GENBAND’s cloud offering is supported by its world class Professional Services team and global technical support services, who can assist the organization’s customers in seamlessly migrating their infrastructure to the cloud.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
