DALLAS -- Masergy Communications Inc., a global leader in managed networking and cloud services, announced today the availability of its Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) cloud video conference service, which is WebRTC enabled. VMR is a simple and cost-effective alternative to complex, in-room conferencing systems and does not require prior account registration or app downloads associated with typical free video calling services.

VMR is fully integrated with Masergy’s Unified Communications and global private network solutions–enabling customers to use their preferred device: smartphone, tablet, PC, or video system. In addition, VMR allows each participant to use multiple devices on the same call and move seamlessly between them without disrupting communications. Additional VMR capabilities include:

  • Ability to add up to 25 sites, people or locations to a video conference

    • Security provisions to ensure the confidentiality of meetings

    • UC-based presence, instant messaging and content sharing

    • Active talker feature automatically enlarges the speaker’s image

    • Consistent user experience across devices

    • Customizable screen layout

    • Unlimited usage

“Businesses need to improve collaboration and accelerate decision-making among employees, customers and partners,” said Dean Manzoori, VP of Product Management, Masergy. “Our latest cloud-based innovation enables enterprises to democratize workgroup collaboration by making video communications simple, affordable and now–truly ubiquitous.”

VMR is currently available for one flat monthly rate of $22.
