Deutsche Telekom group CTO Olivier Baujard has left the company, Light Reading has learned. His resignation follows the departure of another high-level exec, chief technology and innovation officer Edward Kozel, at the end of last year. Baujard's interim replacement is Dr. Bruno Jacobfeuerborn, director of technology at Telekom Deutschland GmbH. (See Euronews: Shareholders Turn On AlcaLu CEO.)
Russian wireless operator Yota is planning to switch 300,000 WiMax services customers to Long Term Evolution (LTE) overnight in April rather than let them migrate over time as originally planned. (See Yota Switches LTE Tactics.)
