SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cisco and Box today announced an alliance that includes product integrations to enhance content collaboration for Project Squared, Cisco’s new business collaboration app that redefines how teams get work done. Together, Cisco and Box are making it easier and faster for teams to communicate and collaborate, accelerating productivity for global businesses. This integration also benefits security-conscious IT organizations that have standardized on Box as their secure enterprise content collaboration solution. Project Squared is built upon the Cisco Collaboration Cloud, a new, next-generation platform providing support for end-to-end content encryption.

Project Squared makes it easy for workers to stay constantly connected to the people, projects and ideas that matter most. Within Project Squared team rooms, people can post messages, share content, and meet face to face in a virtual, open space, accessible from nearly any device, anywhere in the world. Project Squared gives today’s agile workers all the tools they need to do their best work, together.

Leveraging Box View and Box Content APIs, Cisco is able to offer seamless integration with users’ most important information. Content from your Box folder is available from virtually any device and can be viewed in a Project Squared room immediately alongside messages without downloading. Users on an iPhone, iPad or Android device can also easily share content from their Box accounts directly into a Project Squared room. Project Squared is ideal for both mobile workers on the go or for those whose who prefer a desktop environment.
