AUSTIN, Texas -- Suddenlink has launched a new high-speed Internet service with a download speed of 300 Megabits per second (Mbps) and an upload speed of 15 Mbps in Leander and Pflugerville, Texas, with Georgetown, Texas, to follow later this summer. These communities are the first Suddenlink-served areas to receive the service.

Unlike competitive Internet service providers, Suddenlink will offer its 300 Mbps service to all of its residential customers in Leander and Pflugerville, not just to those in a few selected neighborhoods. (See provided map.)

“Based on public reports and additional research, it appears AT&T U-verse has cherry-picked where it will offer its service, while Google Fiber is nowhere to be found,” said Suddenlink Senior Director of Operations Michael Naumann. “In contrast, we’re making our 300 Meg service available to 100 percent of the residential areas we serve in these communities.”
