StarHub's New CEO

9:50 AM -- Singapore's StarHub , which offers a cable TV, broadband, and voice package alongside cutting-edge mobile services, announced a new CEO today. (See Montefiore's Back! )

The appointment of Neil Montefiore, the former CEO of StarHub rival MobileOne Ltd. (M1) (Singapore: MONE), gives the outspoken executive something he wanted while at M1: an integrated package of mobile and fixed network services, and a role in the island state's iN2015 broadband initiative. Montefiore is a charismatic, outspoken guy with years of experience in Singapore, so expect some fireworks when he takes up his new role in January 2010.
