NEW YORK -- Sidera Networks, the premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions, announces that it has been selected by DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT) as the first fiber-based provider to be connected to DFT's recently delivered data center, ACC6, located in Ashburn, Virginia. This selection is critical to customers who demand low-latency and diverse routes between Ashburn, VA and the New York City metropolitan area.

"Sidera Networks is the only network operator that can provide two diverse, low-latency paths between Northern, VA and New York City," said Clint Heiden, President of Sidera Networks. " Additionally, Sidera Networks can bypass both Manhattan and Washington, DC to avoid network congestion points -- providing additional value to these customers."

"DFT chose Sidera Networks to connect to ACC6 because of its ability to deliver diverse, low-latency connectivity out of the Ashburn area," said Vinay Nagpal, Director of Carrier Relations with DuPont Fabros Technology. "This further expands our relationship with Sidera Networks, who is currently operational in our ACC5, VA3 and NJ1 data centers. Combined, DFT and Sidera Networks provide customers with a best-in-class diverse and scalable option."
