STOCKHOLM -- Telia, TeliaSonera’s operation in Denmark has acquired Síminn Danmark A/S, a Danish IT and system integrator. The acquisition will strengthen Telia’s position on the Danish market and enables Telia to provide its corporate customers with a wide selection of traditional telecom services in combination with integrated and cloud based services.

Síminn is a well known company with strong skills within the area of Unified Communication that is used to connect communications services, such as video, email and telephony into one integrated solution. Síminn Denmark was established in Denmark in 2007, and the revenue was 83.4 million DKK in 2013.

“I am very pleased with this agreement. We know that our customers want to be able to get all telecom services from one partner. Síminn’s services make a great complement to ours and give Telia in Denmark the possibility to offer all our customers, new and current, a complete range of telecommunication services”, says Robert Andersson, Head of Region Europe at TeliaSonera.

The agreement includes 2,880 corporate customers.

Telia also welcome 42 experienced new colleagues with great expertise from Síminn.

A CSP's digital transformation involves so much more than technology. Crucial – and often most challenging – is the cultural transformation that goes along with it. As Sigma's Chief Technology Officer, Catherine Michel has extensive experience with technology as she leads the company's entire product portfolio and strategy. But she's also no stranger to merging technology and culture, having taken a company — Tribold — from inception to acquisition (by Sigma in 2013), and she continues to advise service providers on how to drive their own transformations. This impressive female leader and vocal advocate for other women in the industry will join Women in Comms for a live radio show to discuss all things digital transformation, including the cultural transformation that goes along with it.
