S. Bryer Cable Launches ZCorum's Troubleshooter

March 07, 2013 |
ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- S. Bryer Cable in Ohio is already reaping benefits from a recent agreement with ZCorum, a provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics. In December ZCorum took over data and VoIP provisioning for S. Bryer, and that agreement also included TruVizion, ZCorum’s diagnostics platform for cable and telecom operators. In addition, S. Bryer’s field technicians have access to TechVizion, the companion mobile app for TruVizion. According to sources at S. Bryer, the diagnostics software from ZCorum has already had a measurable impact on their business.

Now that we’re up and running with ZCorum, everything is going smoothly,” said Scott Bryer, the owner of S. Bryer Cable. “Best of all, my technicians tell me that TruVizion is making them a lot more productive.” Mike Long, one of Bryer’s technicians agreed. “TruVizion has really helped us do our job. We’re able to troubleshoot subscriber issues more quickly and it’s easier to keep track of what’s happening on the cable plant.”

Jeff Phillips, another technician at S. Bryer also commented about the difference now that he has access to ZCorum’s diagnostics. “TruVizion is a Godsend for us. We’re able to identify and resolve the root issues causing service problems at the subscriber level, and that has reduced our service calls tremendously. I was doing twenty to thirty calls a week before and now it’s less than ten.” Phillips also said the TechVizion mobile app is a big time saver for him. “With TechVizion I can now check modem levels right on my phone when I’m on a call and can make sure everything is good before I leave. I don’t have to call back to the office and have someone look at the levels in the CMTS.”
