Videotron Upgrades Its NetCracker Suite

December 04, 2012 |

WALTHAM, Mass. -- NetCracker Technology announced today that Videotron, a leading Canadian telecommunications provider, has chosen to upgrade its current TOMS (Telecom Operations and Management Solution) software to the latest NetCracker release. NetCracker’s professional services team will deliver the upgrade and provide Videotron with new and improved capabilities to more efficiently manage its network infrastructure.

Upgrading to the latest NetCracker release will enable Videotron to improve its network mapping and maximize its capacity utilization of network resources, including both physical assets and logical connections. This enhanced functionality will drive operational efficiency at the same time that it reduces the overall cost of operating and maintaining Videotron’s network.

“This upgrade will enable us to further increase the return on our network investment by ensuring the highest level of capacity and asset utilization,” said Pierre Roy Porretta, Videotron’s Vice-President Engineering, Research & Development. “Through projects like this, NetCracker has proven to be a strategic business partner, providing us with solutions and technical expertise that help optimize our networks and future proof our product lines.”
