Telefonica Argentina Goes With Amdocs

December 05, 2012 |

ST. LOUIS -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced that Telefónica Argentina, one of the country’s leading mobile service providers, has selected Amdocs for a transformation program that will enable it to deliver a consistent user experience across multiple channels for its 16.7 million wireless Movistar brand subscribers.

The program and Amdocs products and services will simplify, standardize and transform Telefónica’s processes. Telefónica will implement a range of business support systems solutions from Amdocs’ CES portfolio to allow its customers to move seamlessly between different sales channels and provide a unique customer experience.

“Our strategic goal in Telefónica is to accelerate our business transformation towards becoming an online company as mobile devices become a more important part of our customers’ work and personal lives,” said Horacio Goldenberg, chief information officer at Telefónica Argentina. “We selected Amdocs as part of our global reference architecture and as our primary strategic partner in Argentina because of their proven track record of success in managing large-scale projects throughout Latin America. This marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Telefónica and Amdocs to realize our long-term vision.”
