Vello's launch in the UK marks the first arrival of a startup focused on software-defined networking systems in the UK. Vello is a leader in the move to software-defined networks (SDN), a new approach to building large-capacity networks aimed at addressing the problems of the current networking paradigm. Today's networks, based on the IP router as the key element of networking intelligence, involve a multilayered network architecture where every change to the network involves extensive reconfiguration and "rediscovery" of the network.
