iPhotonix, a fiber-to-the-home vendor, today announced that the company has been selected through a competitive RFP process to support Television Internacional, S.A. de C.V. (TVI), the largest Multiple-System Operator (MSO) company in the northeast region of Mexico, with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology deployment in Mexico.

The GPON deployment will be facilitated through the iPhotonix iVolve platform, which utilizes an array of network devices, terminals and distribution units for fiber optic connectivity. iPhotonix's optical network terminal (ONT) and residential gateway (RG) technology will allow Television Internacional to provide customers with voice, video, high-speed data and WiFi solutions for their residential, small and medium business and enterprise networks.

The deal with Television Internacional will help iPhotonix establish a presence in the Latin America and allow Television Internacional to expand its markets and accelerate delivery of services for the ultimate customer experience, regardless of geography.
