PEABODY, Mass. -- Opnetics Corporation announced today the move of their corporate offices from Wakefield, MA to 2 Centennial Drive in Peabody, MA.The new facility with over 20,000 square feet of space includes state of the art clean room and laboratories for the production of thin film dielectric filters and research activities associated with a new tunable filter product line.Opnetics Corporation was formed to design, fabricate, assemble and market Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (“DWDM”) components and subsystems for optical networks.

Dr. Chunghsin Lee president, chief executive officer and Dr. Piero Sferlazzo, executive vice president envision an extremely bright future in telecommunication networking and view this move as a “major step in meeting a strong market demand”.Opnetics presently employs 35 people and expects to reach approximately 100 employees by the end of 2001.
