OpenTV defends intellectual property rights

SAN FRANCISCO -- OpenTV, Inc., a Kudelski Group company (SIX:KUD.S) and a pioneer in digital television and advanced advertising solutions, announced today that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Netflix, Inc. in the United States District Court in Delaware. The lawsuit alleges that Netflix is willfully infringing seven U.S patents owned by OpenTV. OpenTV is represented by Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
