SAN DIEGO -- OMM, Inc., announced today the resignation of its president and chief executive officer, Hus Tigli, effective immediately. Tigli served as president and CEO since February 2000. Philip Chapman, 47, has been appointed to replace Tigli. Chapman joined OMM in May 2000 as vice president of finance and administration, and chief financial officer. "I am excited to have the opportunity to lead OMM with its advanced position in MEMS-based photonic switching subsystems," said Phil Chapman, president and CEO of OMM. "I look forward to working closely with the senior management team to make OMM our customers' supplier of choice for next generation switching subsystems."

Prior to joining OMM, Chapman was employed by Microchip Technology Inc., a global semiconductor manufacturer, where he served for eight years as vice president and chief financial officer, enabling the company's growth from a venture-backed company to a leading international manufacturer of programmable microcontrollers.
